Dan and Jill Morris

Hello everyone. Being here in Utah this week has been an incredible experience for us both. Being at the first meeting on Sunday was awesome!! Seeing all of the brothers and sisters from the other 2 groups, and then hearing the sound of their voices, singing so loudly, with hearts full of enthusiasm for the coming weeks activities, brought many, including us to sniffles and a few tears.

On Monday, Jill and I went to the door and met a young woman, Ashley, who was very busy with 2 small  children. As we started to talk with her, we realized she was most likely not LDS. Still, we  continued on with the message we were determined to share - that Jehovah's Kindom, not any man made government under Satan's control, is the only solution to solve man's problems (Luke 4:5-7, Dan 2:44)  She was very interested in what we were saying and mentioned that she had not read the bible much and so we immediately shared Chapter 8  in  the Bible Teach Book, which she gladly accepted with a big smile. We let her know that we were only in town a few days and would like to come back an talk more about what God's Kindom would do. She seemed excited and said we could come back the next day.

On Tuesday, I met a younger man who was LDS, he had recently been on a mission to Honduras. We reasoned on Luke 4, Dan 2:44, and then 1 John 4:20,21, at this point I asked him- "if you support a government that could potentially go to war with Honduras, would you be willing to fight against the very ones you had just made your brother and sister in your faith?". He paused -  "I see what you are saying, I'm not sure, So let me get this straight, if you as one of Jehovahs Witnesses, were asked to go to war, you wouldn't?" - No, I said, many of our brother and sisters have gone to prison rather than fight for any of Satan's Governments, We are all united, Worldwide!!" Then I shared Dan.7:14 showing that all national groups and languages would serve Jehovah, not just one country. He seemed to be thinking about this and so I shared the Bible Teach Book and he gladly accepted it. Then he said -  as most LDS say- he was not interested in a return "discussion", but... I wrote him down as a return visit anyway.

Yesterday we said goodbye to brother and sister Weathers, hugs all around.
Brother Weathers even dried his eye as he let us all know how much we encouraged him and Barbara. We said good by to the Group from Long Beach too. It went by so fast!!
We enjoyed this week so much, what an awesome priviledge to be here.
We already cannot wait to do it again next year!!
